We are a small group of friends and developers spread in different countries. At some point we came to the conclusion that there was less and less genuine freedom of expression around the Internet, no matter what most of the other video-sharing sites might have promised. Then we started to reflect on that topic and wanted to deliver a truly democratic option.
Like many people we have made the experience of being censored and sometimes excluded from sites similar to Youtube, that which will not hesitate to silence you when it comes to the interests of its sponsors, promoting ridiculous and excessive guidelines. We, at Livingscoop, believe that it is possible, both in US and the in rest of the world, to run a business in good intelligence without sacrificing expression and without excluding the idea of making profit.
One of our characteristics is to enjoy the daily immersion in the rustlings and silences of the world, and taste its fevers or inhale the discreet scent of its hashes. We like the idea that the world is an experience: the Adventure of Mankind throughout the countries, of which Homer offered us a brilliant fresco in his epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey, or Ovid's Metamorphoses.
Since the inventions of cinema and television, many pioneers have pursued Ulysses' journey and witnessed the metamorphoses of our societies.
Most of us have grown up during the Seventies and have experienced the golden age of permissiveness, embracing all the dreams and audaciousness of modernity. We have seen the world changing radically over the last forty years. We are the last generation straddling two worlds: the Classical one, based on ancient times and past centuries; and the new one, made of that post-historical wide opening, born after the globalization and the Internet, a world where everyone is capable not only to reach any living soul in a second, but also to influence the Great Experience.
Our travels, experiences, encounters and respective personalities led us to believe to the future of Livingscoop, to this idea of real freedom. We endeavor to be, alongside with all of you, the witnesses and reporters of the present for the future...and beyond.
