What and Who Livingscoop is Designed For

Added value

Since our resources are not unlimited, we make a point of honor at not making promises we cannot keep, such as propose to upload and view High Resolution content for free. The service will be free for standard resolution only, and you will be invited to subscribe to one of our forthcoming Premium Programs. In addition to the standard services, we will deliver paying options made of unique tools and programs designed to permit you to make money. All in all, even though our means are not those of giants such as Yahoo, Google or Youtube, our resources will become your means the moment you invest in one of our programs. That is, they turn out to be your tools for working, creating, editing, promoting and generating revenues. This is our added value.

We value our members

We are fully aware of the important role played by our members in the future of Livingscoop, whether they are professionals or amateurs opting for either a standard or a paying offer. That is the reason why we value original, creative, vivid, interesting, daring and moving content because they will contribute to building our image and popularity. We also acknowledge that putting your most personal or journalistic creations is not meaningless. It often means let others judge your precious and sometimes intimate works. But it also allows you to act and influence minds.

That is why we regard (not on the legal level) our members the same way a publisher regards a writer; the difference being we never run out of ink and paper.

Originally Livingscoop has been developed primarily as a tool for reporters and journalists throughout the world, whatever their nationality, point of view or addressed topics. Therefore, this is an invitation to anyone who feels like embracing the news to produce its own content.

Despite the respect we owe to any business company that managed to make profits out of redundancy, ineptitude and narcissism, we do not aim to become another Youtube or Facebook, for instance. The key concept, the editorial policy and the degree of freedom of expression, the resources, and the relationship we mean to build with our members are extremely different here.

General Spirit

We built Livingscoop in a spirit of freedom, bravery and lightness close to those that ruled the Internet in the first place, before we enter a new era of pollutant legal issues and excessive determination to control people. We believe that everyone is responsible for itself. We are neither your parents nor your kids. We refuse to be the accountants or the judges of your videos and comments. However, we do have our own judgmental positioning, that which leads us to defend the idea that freedom of expression should always prevail. In our value system, freedom of any expression is far preferable to any censorship, quality is far more valuable than mediocrity, and originality goes beyond platitudes, and so on.

Editorial Conduct

The major lesson we have learned from the use of websites such as Youtube is that laziness, herd instinct or even immaturity have led video makers to completely miss the opportunity to address their point of view to the entire world. Think about it: a little while ago, only governments and celebrities had that sort of power. And how did people use the influence powered by video-sharing sites? They have produced thousands of jokes that were copied thousands of times, like a congenital illness throughout generations of uneducated cretins full of themselves, pseudo-rebels in a bedroom, defused in advance by the politically correct argument. Their idea of subversion is effortless: to copy and spread original contents that will be copied again and again, making the web a junk room or a garbage can, you decide.

Therefore we opt for a single editorial conduct: try and be original. Try and catch scoops (so, get out of your bedrooms), try and offer the world the best you can in terms of image and sound. We wish this could be the goal of our members: to be at the right place at the right time and capture the best of it in order to produce news, scoops, documentaries.

When you produce impeccable, neat and steady content, you are more likely to make a profit out of its value. We are deploying a quotation program that will allow journalists and professionals to evaluate your work. Good quotations will involve certain rewards (see our forthcoming Tools & Programs).

Freedom of expression

We strongly encourage you to use your freedom of expression via our website. Should you be living in a country that controls or condemns the expression, do it through Livingscoop and use the anonymity we offer you - we will not keep any record of I.P. address whatsoever.

A philosopher once said: I might not agree with what you say but I'd die to defend your right to say it.
